Book signing Horror
Story
My first Book
Signing was the worst I'd been to because of the person that was seated next to
me. The author next to me greeted me by
asking the name of my book and telling me they'd never heard of it. They then
proceeded to tell me about how famous they are (I'd never heard of their book
either) and about how famous they could make me. I smiled and nodded and
listened to their rants about all the conventions they had done, etc. And
listened to them tell me how my book was underpriced, my story idea was “cute”
and commenting that “hopefully I’ll at least sell enough to pay for my table so
it’s not a waste.” The author didn’t know the person running the convention was
an old family friend who gave me the table for free or that it was my first
signing and that I really did it for experience, not to be famous or make a ton
of money. I wanted people to read my book to the point that I charged the
amount I paid for them with the shipping costs. Then throughout the day I
watched as the author lured people in with the same line over and over,
"Hey check out this book I wrote when you weren't looking." Most
people gave a chuckle and started to walk away until the author stated that
their book was being made into a movie. Suddenly people were handing over $25
for this book they'd never heard of signed by an author, hoping their book
would be worth something. The author lied about the movie by giving a
"Production company" name that when looked up was a home video
service. The author then "made a movie" in their own back yard. The other nightmare part of the signing was
that the spouse of the author decided to tell me about their intimate time
together and there was a vast age difference between the two, thirty years
worth. It was the longest two days of my life. Luckily my second book signing went great! I met a lot of
fantastic authors who have become some of my favorites now.

Everyone seems to have a secret they are keeping from Parker and it seems they
have feel "there's something she should know" and now is the time.

old girl surrounded by paranormal beings. Stories of Amytha's past begin to
surface causing her family to investigate more into where she came from.
Crispin and Amytha take turns telling this story of being in
a family that you choose, being abnormal in a normal world, and the importance
of friendship. Together they will go on adventures into a faraway place where
they'll encounter new creatures and discover truths they never imagined.
